Charlie and Chloe | Summer Garden Party
As a photographer who loves the styling side of a wedding and seeing the couples’ creative vision come to life with all the intricate details that they’ve described to me all those months ago, making sure I capture them all to be remembered is important.
Chloe had a traditional garden party in mind when creating her vision for her March wedding at a private estate in Beaufort, Victoria. Under the cream scalloped marquee, Chloe styled her table settings using Maison Balzac vessels and candle holders with green striped table linen, flower garden themed stationary and gorgeous flowers by Rosa Rosa Flor. Smith & Co Catering took care of the guests and later everyone hit the dance floor and a tipple at the self-serve gin bar.
Chloe and Charlie pulled together all their styling & event elements themselves and oh boy was it incredible. This wedding was a dream to shoot and all their images are living on in printed form in the custom wedding album that I designed for them. Check out their custom cover below.

TELL ME ABOUT THE “THE BEGINNING”?
Chloe: We met through the groomswoman (Mary) who was our mutual friend. We knew each other for a few years before we ended up getting together. Fun fact- I didn’t like Charlie AT ALL when I first met him. I thought he was a country bogan! Hehe.

WHERN AND WHERE DID YOU GET ENGAGED?
Chloe: We live on a beautiful farm in the hinterland near the 12 Apostles in Victoria. Charlie surprised me by organising a helicopter to land out the front of our house! We had an incredible flight over the hinterland and out over the coast to the spectacular ship-wreck coastline and the 12 Apostles. After we landed Charlie disappeared and told me to follow a trail of photos (with our pooches in tow) the photos led to a little campfire and picnic down in our favourite paddock overlooking the bush and of course Charlie with a ring. The answer was always YES!
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
Chloe: Garden Party! Think traditional English garden party complete with hats, floral dresses, lawn games and a self-serve G&T bar.
WHAT ARE YOUR TOP TIPS FOR OTHER COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING?
Chloe: Do it your way. Make sure everything speaks to you as a couple and don't be afraid to do things a little differently! Eg. You don't have to wear a white dress!
